I got into the water snorkeling for my first time on Midway. The conditions were not ideal with wind and poor visibility but it was still fun. We swam under the cargo pier and stayed between the pilings while swimming about 2/3 the length of the pier. We saw a turtle several times and the fish diversity is great. I swam with Doug, a part time fish and wildlife employee who will only be on Midway for another week or so then back to California and graduate work at Stanford. These pictures are my first effort with my underwater camera housing.
